Summary
John Sisk and Son is overseeing construction of a cutting-edge pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland.
This state-of-the-art site, located at Kerry Technology Park, will produce advanced pharmaceutical products, including innovative antibody therapies. At the moment, there are around 450 construction workers on-site.
The project is being developed for Astellas Ireland and is designed with sustainability at its core. The facility will enhance Astellas’ in-house manufacturing capabilities and ensure a reliable global supply of high-quality medicines. The plant is expected to be fully operational by 2028 and support around 100 specialised roles.
This project also offers a unique opportunity to observe how occupational safety and health is seamlessly integrated into a dynamic, live construction environment. This is done by using the latest construction methods and co-ordination technologies.
The tour will be led by Martin Cronin. To attend the site, you will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Details will be sent to you before the event.
