IOSH’s Head of Strategic Engagement gave a keynote presentation at a recent OSH event in Malaysia.

Alan represented the Institution at the 23rd COSH (Conference and Exhibition on Occupational Safety and Health) event at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The focus of Alan’s session was IOSH’s Catch the Wave initiative, which showcases the crucial role of OSH in social sustainability.

Afterwards, Alan said: “It was a great honour to present our Catch The Wave presentation on behalf of IOSH. The event was the first to be held face to face since 2019. Attendance was in excess of 1,400 people with substantially more joining online.”

COSH 23 was organised by Malaysia’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, which IOSH has strong collaborative links with, and held from 29-30 August.

Alan added: “Being at COSH 23 underpins our deep collaborations with the Ministries in Malaysia, where we have helped shape national strategy towards OSH and our close implementation relationships with local OSH professional bodies who will be delivering IOSH courses in bulk.”
