This Edinburgh Branch event includes a private tour of the Scottish National Gallery (European Galleries) and complimentary refreshments.
Ensuring the safety and security of public spaces can be challenging. Considerations include protecting people and the priceless Scottish National collection, as well as managing historical buildings.
The event will cover the gallery’s overview of emergency response plans, incident management and understanding protest (lessons learned and information used to understand current threats).
The seminar will start at 17.30 in the Hawthornden Lecture Theatre, lasting 45 minutes. It will explore the approaches to managing risk in this high-profile environment.
Following the seminar participants will be invited for a private gallery tour of our European Art. Complimentary refreshments will be available, with the event closing at 19.00.
Led by Claire Shiels, Health and Safety Advisor, and Stuart Craik, Head of Security, at the National Galleries of Scotland.
The event is open to IOSH members and non-members.
