IOSH runs campaigns aligned with our strategic priorities. We also support and promote other organisations’ campaigns such as EU-OSHA’s Healthy Workplaces campaign and HSE Help Great Britain Work Well, Go Home Healthy and #Dustbuster initiatives.
IOSH’s No Time to Lose campaign aims to raise awareness of occupational cancer and help businesses take action by providing free practical resources.
The latest research suggests that cancer caused by work claims the lives of 742,000 people a year worldwide – one death every 43 seconds.
No Time to Lose is highlighting the significant carcinogens in the workplace that cause the highest number of cases and deaths. These include asbestos, silica dust, diesel fumes and solar radiation.
We encourage members of the Presidential Team to become No Time to Lose Ambassadors. Please email email@example.com to ensure you’re on our list.
You can help raise awareness of this important health issue by:
- presenting at conferences and events
- representing us at meetings and summits
- encouraging members to pledge to prevent occupational cancer and support the campaign
- booking an occupational cancer speaker at your event
