IOSH’s No Time to Lose (NTTL) campaign aims to raise awareness of occupational cancer and help businesses take action by providing free practical resources.
The latest research suggests that cancer caused by work claims the lives of 742,000 people a year worldwide – one death every 43 seconds.
No Time to Lose is highlighting the significant carcinogens in the workplace that cause the highest number of cases and deaths. These include asbestos, silica dust, diesel fumes and solar radiation.
Your branch or group can help raise awareness of this important health issue by:
- distributing the free resources
- encouraging members to pledge to prevent occupational cancer and support the campaign
- booking an occupational cancer speaker at your event.
If you would like to get involved, please get in touch with your Regional Manager (branches) or Relationship Manager (groups), or visit the NTTL website.
