Membership renewals

How do I renew my membership?

If you’re registered with MyIOSH, we'll let you know via your account when your membership is due for renewal and you’ll be able to renew securely online. You’ll also see, in your account, a Renew now link in the My details box when you’re logged in.

When you renew online you’ll be able to change your membership details, pay securely with a credit or debit card and get an immediate online receipt which you can print or save. You can also renew your membership by post or by calling us on +44 (0)116 350 0800.

Renewing in a different currency

If you are renewing your membership in a currency other than sterling, its best if you pay online by credit card; your renewal fee will automatically be converted to sterling using the latest currency rates. If you’re paying in sterling, you can also pay the renewal fee by cheque or postal order (made payable to IOSH).

Tax relief for UK-based members

If you’re a member in the UK who pays your own membership subscription, you can claim back tax relief at your marginal rate (either 20% or 40%).

To obtain the tax benefit, you should make your claim:

  • using a Self-Assessment tax return if you already fill one in
  • online or by printing and posting form P87 if you don’t already fill in a tax return
  • by phone if you’ve had a successful claim in a previous year and your expenses are less than 1,000 (or 2,500 for - professional fees and subscriptions).
