The Financial Services Group is a group covering all people who work in the Financial Services, Professional Services, Facilities Management or with organisations who support these.
These sectors operate in diverse locations around the world, from head offices the size of university campuses to small teams and lone individuals working remotely. The diversity of the sector means that we have people facing a wide range of hazards, from office workers to those working in vehicle repair workshops, as well as employees, to inspection engineers operating in hazardous environments. We recognise that we cover a diverse and unique sector of employment, with thousands of people directly and indirectly affected by our actions, so we need to take the opportunity to share and collaborate to improve health, safety and wellbeing for our global network.
If you work directly in any of these sectors, we hope to be the group for you.
We aim to provide a wide range of support for our members in both large and small organisations all across the world.
As part of our work to improve safety standards we want to:
- Represent specialist working in these sectors with industry bodies and in IOSH
- Offer webinars and networking opportunities.
- Develop resources and practical guides specific to our sector including the sharing of best practice.
- Support ideas and projects to investigate or address specific safety concerns.
- Organise events to develop and maintain the knowledge of those working in our industry.
