Make a difference - join the IOSH Broadcasting & Telecommunications Group Committee

Do you work in the media sector, supporting broadcast, televised or streamed content? If you advise broadcast productions, newsgathering or high-end drama, in the UK or abroad, we would like to hear from you.

To bolster representation of the media sector, we are recruiting new members to join our Committee. With more than 2300 members, the IOSH Broadcasting & Telecommunications Group is the forum for health, safety and environment professionals working in the broadcasting and telecommunications sector.

Recruitment is open to all IOSH members, with applications considered on an individual basis.

To compliment the existing committee, the Group are looking for members who will need to:

  • Be a member of IOSH and actively engaged in Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Media industries.
  • Be able to commit your time to attend four committee meetings per year and also actively contribute to the organisation of projects and events.
  • We would particularly welcome applications from members who are currently working outside of the UK, and from members who are in the early stages of their OSH careers (Future Leaders/Student Members)
  • Meet the competency requirements and complete the online application form.

To apply for a committee member role, please refer to the competency requirements and complete the online application form, and email your CV to networks@iosh.com with your name and the Group committee your applying for.

In return for giving up your time as a volunteer, IOSH will pay reasonable travel expenses.

If you have any questions, please speak to Tina Lee, the Group’s IOSH Relationship Manager, who will be able to help.

Successful applicants will be called for a virtual interview.  If you are successfully appointed to the committee, you will be asked to sign the IOSH volunteer agreement, which will be sent you and will need to be read and considered.

This is an ongoing recruitment and at the moment does not have a closing date.
