The use of drones to improve safety
South Wales branch meeting - January 2021
This again was an excellent branch event with 98 attendees, our best attendance yet! Toby Townrow from Drone Evolution gave an excellent overview of the benefits and considerations regarding the use of Drones across various situations, but particularly the construction sector. There were many examples and Toby responded to a great number of questions making the presentation more valuable.
We were pleased also to be joined by our president Jimmy Quinn who was most welcome though it was due to the recent and sad passing of our friend and colleague, David Starling, and the posthumous award of the Presidents Distinguished Service Award (PDSA) that he joined us.
We thank everyone for their contribution to the event and look forward to our next event on the 25th February at 2pm. This event will be dedicated to the IOSH Future Leaders programme and the development and support of the next generation of safety professionals.
