South Wales Branch - letter from the Chair

On behalf of the South Wales Branch Committee, welcome to our programme.

COVID-19 may have affected our ability to hold face-to-face meetings, but it’s not dampened our enthusiasm to keep you informed of our programme and events.

Our aim at the branch is to offer a diverse programme to our members, effectively communicated offering the maximum opportunity for participation. Our programme is always evolving. We continually seek to offer a range of excellent, competent speakers on subjects we know our members have requested and we have a programme of continuous improvement, where we are developing the professional standing of those who wish to progress and develop their careers.

I urge all members to look regularly at our website and social media (LinkedIn and Twitter), look out for our regular ‘mailers and Connect’ communications, and take advantage of the opportunities that I and my committee are working hard to bring you. Individually and collectively, they offer great opportunities for professional enhancement in our profession and registration is easy.

Meetings are currently all virtual with the majority being at 14:00 on the last Thursday of the month. We also have other meetings with Alliance partners and other IOSH Branches to maximise opportunity to network amongst other benefits. Always check you have registered in advance of the virtual meeting.

If you have never attended our online events, then have a look and give it a try – we really don’t virtually bite!!

See you soon
