The Oman Branch are in the process of developing a detailed expansion plan, with a clear focus on ensuring the things that make IOSH great as a charity body worldwide are delivered in the Sultanate of Oman. Given the size of expansion, it will take some time to complete however the preliminary plans are Introduction of New Functional Roles Such an Ambassador Role, Local Engagement Officers and Area Coordinators in Oman to be more visible for supporting the community.

Our main aim is to improve health and safety at work, and to support health and safety professionals who are dedicated to cutting down accidents and ill health at work. In Oman, we are continuously striving to achieve our charitable aims by promoting ways to improve occupational health & safety and encouraging young talented Omanis by introducing IOSH programmes to boost the image of safety and health as a first career choice, helping ambitious young Omani nationals to become the leaders of the future in Oman.

2017 was great shift change of IOSH Oman presence in the country.

We have seen a lot of participation and collaboration with authorities such as OPAL, SQ University, and other governmental bodies.

Millions of people have their lives severely affected because of the work they do, with illness, injury and death all too common.

However, we believe that by working together, we will all achieve a safer and healthier world of work, and as the chartered body for health and safety, IOSH are leading the way.

Our new five-year strategy, WORK 2022 shaping the future of safety and health, sets out this vision and defines the steps that we need to take.

Help us to shape the future of health and safety and make WORK 2022 a reality, today and in the future.
