About Us
The Merseyside Branch strives to support the objectives of the Institution, and to promote improvements in occupational safety and health.
The branch has approximately 1,200 members, including all grades of membership, and serves an area covering Merseyside, North Wales and Cheshire. The branch is well established, and several of its founder members continue to be actively involved in serving the branch and supporting its activities.
Branch plan
The branch committee are here to ensure you get value for money from your membership. We endeavour to take the branch away from the standard agenda meeting format taking members on site visits which will not only be interesting but also contribute to your continuing professional development as we observe how other professions manage their health, safety, welfare and environment. It also helps to serve the health and safety myth busting agenda we strive to promote.
Reaching out to 1200 people is a challenge but with a dedicated team, we are well-equipped to do so. We intend to make the branch network pages welcoming, easy to navigate and ensure all the information is up-to-date, relevant and informative.
By working with our Relationship Manager and various support functions at IOSH, we also want to take full advantage of social media - Twitter, Facebook, IOSH LinkedIn group and YouTube so please subscribe, like and follow IOSH social media outlets.
The branch committee will strive to achieve all of these things; however we need you to come along, speak with us, share your thoughts and get involved. We are also here to support you, so please say hello.
Be sure to check out the Merseyside Branch Strategy that highlights our bold vision for a safe and healthy world of work with WORK 2022.
Don't forget to follow us on Twitter for branch event and news updates.
