Welcome to East Lancashire District
The East Lancashire District was established in 2012 to serve IOSH Members in East Lancashire and around M65 corridor. The committee work hard to ensure an interesting, engaging and informative program of speakers providing a good mix of subjects at every meeting. In addition to this the group exists to welcome and support new and existing members and local business in all aspects of Occupational Safety and Health.
The East Lancashire District Committee provides assistance for local IOSH members supporting them in their initial professional development and continued professional development. There are a wide range of membership levels within our district from Technician to Fellow who can assist in mentoring and advising on best practice for any individual who is hoping to join IOSH or upgrade their membership.
We are all committed to furthering the aims and objectives of IOSH and to helping and offering every assistance to our members and visitors. We have a wealth of experience in occupational safety and health which we are happy to share. Just contact one of the Committee members and see if we can help you.
Members are encouraged to invite friends and colleagues to the local meetings. We regularly collaborate with other Districts, and Branches as well as organisations and businesses and because of this we attract a high calibre of guest speakers to our meetings. While we are currently meeting virtually due to Covid-19 restrictions we are looking forward to returning to ‘normal’ as soon a practical. In the meantime, we will continue to work collaboratively with the Manchester Branch to bring you great speakers, support your IPD & CD and influence others.
