As an IOSH Student Member, we'll prepare you for success by supporting you throughout your studies and equipping you with tools to increase your post-study employability and gain a competitive edge in the workplace. If you’ve completed your qualification, you’re ready to progress to your next IOSH Member grade.
By continuing your IOSH journey and progressing to the next member grade, you’re demonstrating your commitment and credibility. As the world’s leading chartered professional body for people responsible for safety and health in the workplace, we’re here to support you. We have more than 49,000 members, representing every industry, in over 130 countries. Below are some of the benefits of progressing with IOSH.
Please send a copy of your official qualification certificate or results letter, transcript and an updated CV to Studentmembership@iosh.com. If you do not have your certificate or transcript yet, we can accept an official letter from your tutor or qualification provider.
Once you’ve sent us the relevant documents, a qualification assessment will take place. Once we have checked your qualification, we’ll get in touch to arrange payment for your first annual fee and get you started with your new membership category.
As a Student Member progressing to your next Member grade, you’ll need to pay the renewal fee relevant to the grade you’re moving into. The current annual subscription rates (renewals only) are a one-off payment and last for a whole year. For 2023-2024 they are as follows:
Technical Member - £147.00
Graduate Member - £163.00
Prices valid until 31 March 2024
Graduate Members can make their experience count and progress to Chartered status with our Initial Professional Development (IPD) scheme. IOSH Chartered status shows employers, recruiters, customers and peers that you're at the top of your game. Read more about:
If your studies have been extended, please email us an official confirmation from your university or course provider which includes the new end date, and we'll extend your Student Membership accordingly.
If you choose not to progress then three months after your qualification end date your membership with IOSH will cease. This will mean you will no longer have access to any member benefits such as CPD, the IOSH Career Hub, IOSH Mentoring or the IOSH Magazine.
To join as a student member, please complete the online application form. Once we've received your application, we will contact you within five working days.
