Health and safety standards, legislation and compliance

The purpose of health and safety legislation is to protect people from harm within your organisation.

ISO 45001 sets requirements for occupational health and management systems. If you’ve not implemented this within your organisation you may be putting your employees at risk.

We’re here to set the standards

Our aim is to help raise health and safety performance across all levels and sectors of employment by outlining the competencies that staff need, and how these can be developed.

Our setting the standards guide looks at the standards of training and levels of competence needed by:

  • directors, managers and supervisors
  • health and safety representatives
  • non-supervisory staff
  • health and safety professionals
  • other professionals.

Embedding health and safety into your organisation to ensure you’re compliant

We have a range of health and safety awareness courses that are aimed at employees at any level within the organisation. These courses are designed to provide staff with the confidence to understand and identify workplace hazards and responsibilities. You can book yourself and/or colleagues onto these courses at any time.
