Help us to widen our influence
Many of our members represent us on national and international external committees. By working with us as official IOSH representatives, you can champion our vision for a safe and healthy world of work. It’s a chance to promote our views and ensure our members are represented at all levels. We are updating and improving our external representative programme.
Who can represent us and what’s involved?
We are seeking IOSH members who can demonstrate substantial experience and strong technical competence in the specialist area relevant to the vacancy.
Ideally you will be CMIOSH or above, but if you don’t have Chartered status, we’ll consider you if you have extensive knowledge and experience in your field. Affiliate and Student Members are not eligible to apply.
As an external representative, you will act on IOSH’s behalf at committee meetings, helping to strengthen our voice and influence.
This includes:
- Promoting IOSH’s profile, policy positions and strategic priorities.
- Supporting our campaigns and calls to action, ensuring they are reflected in external discussions.
- Championing high standards of occupational safety and health through your contributions.
Representatives are also expected to provide IOSH with clear feedback, insights and intelligence from the committees they attend, helping us shape future policy and practice.
