Summary
Join IOSH West Africa community to explore five high-impact applications of artificial intelligence (AI) that are reshaping health, safety and environmental (HSE) strategies across industries.
As workplace environments grow increasingly complex, integrating AI into HSE practices presents a transformative opportunity to enhance risk management, operational efficiency and worker wellbeing.
AI technologies are enabling proactive and data-driven safety interventions. These can range from predictive analytics that anticipate safety incidents before they occur to computer vision systems that monitor compliance in real time.
The session will also highlight AI-powered environmental monitoring, intelligent PPE management and the use of natural language processing for incident reporting and safety training.
This presentation aims to equip HSE professionals with actionable insights into how AI can be deployed ethically and effectively to build safer, smarter workplaces. It will showcase practical case studies and implementation frameworks. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities, challenges and governance considerations involved in adopting AI within their HSE systems.
