This half-day event features three fascinating speakers who will present important topics in contrasting and absorbing styles.

It is a great opportunity to meet the Staffordshire Community committee and other members during the networking time and lunch.

12.00–13.00 Arrival and lunch (free parking available)

13.00–14.00 Be the best you can be – coaching skills for occupational safety and health (OSH) practitioners.

Michael Emery, owner and director of Securus Health and Safety, presents on:

  • what is coaching?
  • what are the attributes of a good coach?
  • the coaching practitioner model
  • making the transition: developing a coaching style.

14.15–15.15 Manual handling – discipline, experience and a different perspective. Presented by Harold Floyd (Lead Instructor, Elite Force Safety).

Harold is known for delivering high-impact, military-inspired health and safety training. He brings a unique approach to manual handling and workplace safety.

15.30–16.30 The Body Fix Coach. Presented by James Bacon (Founder, The Body Fix Coach).

James recognises the demands of modern workplaces and developed business workshops aimed at supporting employees and reducing work-related strain. These sessions are designed to

  • reduce musculoskeletal-related absences, a leading cause of workplace sick days
  • improve wellbeing through practical movement strategies and ergonomic advice
  • increase productivity and energy levels, helping staff to stay focused and engaged throughout the day.
