It’s the 80th anniversary of the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC). The meeting will explore the history of scaffolding and NASC’s massive impact on the sector. Its guidance, SG4 Preventing falls in scaffolding operations, has been updated several times since publication in the mid-1990s. SG4 has helped drive an 89 per cent reduction in the accident frequency rate for falls within NASC’s contractor membership.

Topics covered will include

  • managing scaffolding
  • understanding the hand-over and inspection process
  • keeping up to date with relevant scaffolding safety and technical information.
