Summary
Ethical practice is a cornerstone of professional identity. It shapes how judgements are reached, how decisions are made and builds trust among workers, employers and the public.
This second session in our 12-part global webinar series, Raising the bar for OSH, explores ethics as a defining feature of professionalism. It moves beyond theory to show how ethical practice is applied, supported and evaluated.
Hosted by IOSH Thought Leadership Manager, Dr Chris Davis, we welcome:
- Dr Shaun Lundy, IOSH President-Elect and Chief Strategy Officer of Tetra Consulting Ltd
- Angela Gray, Advice and Practice Applications Manager with IOSH, and
- Dr Jim Baxter, Academic Development Consultant (Research Leadership) at The University of Leeds.
Through practical examples and guided discussion, our panel will explore the ethical challenges facing the profession. The session will also consider the complexity of competing value systems across sectors and regions. It will then look at how ethical competence is developed and assessed throughout a professional’s career.
Join us to gain clearer insight into how ethical practice underpins credibility, shapes decision-making and reinforces the value of the profession.
