Summary
As the field of occupational safety and health (OSH) continues to advance across industries and borders, ensuring that practitioners possess the right expertise has become increasingly critical.
What does competence really mean in different parts of the world? How consistent are the standards used to define and recognise it? And what role do professional bodies play in ensuring those standards are credible, robust, and future-ready?
Introducing the first of our 12-part global webinar series, Raising the bar for OSH, where we’ll be starting with the foundations of competence. Hosted by Duncan Spencer, Head of Advice and Practice for IOSH, we welcome Sarah Hemingway, Learning and Professional Development Manager of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS) and Dr Shaun Lundy, IOSH President-Elect and Chief Strategy Officer of Tetra Consulting.
Together they'll share insight into how competence is defined internationally. The discussion will explore common threads running through different recognition frameworks. It will also examine how global alignment can strengthen individual careers and the profession as a whole.
Whether you’re an established practitioner, an emerging professional, or involved in shaping standards and frameworks, this session will help you position yourself and your organisation within the global OSH landscape.
Join us for the start of the series as we push to advance professional competence, recognition and global practice for the OSH profession.
