Let’s talk skin care

Rural Industries Community

Event

Take part in a relaxed virtual lunchtime drop‑in sharing experiences and practical approaches to looking after skin at work.

With longer days and increased sun exposure, it’s easy to overlook the risks to our skin. Melanoma is the fifth most common cancer in the UK and climate change is increasing exposure risks, particularly for those working in rural environments.

You’ll learn:

  • how ultraviolet (UV) exposure affects skin and long‑term health
  • practical risk controls for skin care and sun protection
  • simple advice you can use at work and at home.

This relaxed, informative session is led by Kerry Bates, Dermatology Skin Cancer Advanced Nurse Practitioner, joined by IOSH President Richard Bate.

You’ll have the chance to ask questions.

This free event is open to IOSH members and non-members.
