What is Blueprint? And why ethics matters

Date
08 July 2026
Type
Event

Summary

Are you unsure about how to get the most out of the IOSH’s continuing professional development (CPD) programme, Blueprint? Or wondering why the annual ethics requirement exists — and how it supports you?

This session is designed to give you clarity, confidence and practical takeaways you can use straight away.

Join Council members for a supportive, myth‑busting, member‑led session exploring:

  • what Blueprint really is (and isn’t)
  • how the self‑assessment works and how it helps you plan meaningful development
  • why ethics matters in occupational safety and health practice and how the annual assessment protects you and the profession.

You’ll leave with a clearer sense of your development pathway and actions you can put into practice. It’s a chance to develop confidence in using Blueprint, doing your CPD and in the ethics framework to support your career.

Who should attend?

IOSH members of all grades and at any stage of their professional development are welcome, including if you feel stuck, unsure or overwhelmed.
