    • involvement in OSH‑related projects, communities or initiatives

We’re here to help, contact our Future Leaders team at futureleaders@iosh.com for support with your application.

Most committee roles involve a light, predictable commitment of a few hours per month. This includes attending meetings, reviewing materials and contributing to planned activities. Workload varies slightly by role, but we design the experience so it can sit comfortably alongside full‑time work or study.

The committee meets primarily online, with occasional optional in‑person opportunities. You can take part from anywhere, as long as you have a reliable internet connection.

You’ll simply be asked to declare anything that might affect your ability to participate objectively (e.g., employer relationships, commercial interests). Most situations can be managed transparently with guidance from IOSH.

If you’re an IOSH member who is new or early in your OSH career, you may still be able to join the Future Leaders Community. For committee roles, we encourage you to apply if you feel you can contribute and meet most of the expectations – the selection process considers the whole application, not single criteria in isolation.

You’re welcome to apply again in the next recruitment cycle. Many successful committee members were selected on a second attempt – use feedback and your growing experience to strengthen your next application.

Your application is used only for the selection process, handled securely, and accessed only by those involved in recruitment. Any personal data you share is processed in line with IOSH’s privacy and data‑protection standards.

Make sure your application is completed and submitted by 18 April.
