Field empowerment: turning workers into safety leaders

UAE Community

Date

Type
Event

Summary

Explore practical approaches to building a proactive safety culture, where individuals at every level are equipped to make informed decisions, take ownership of outcomes and contribute to safer operations.

You’ll learn:

  • how field empowerment helps workers take ownership of safety
  • the key elements of empowerment: competency, culture, and accountability
  • how to create an environment where workers can speak up and act without fear
  • why an empowered workforce is the most powerful safety resource on any project.

This session will explore how safety is built at the workface, not in the office. When workers stop unsafe work, challenge hazards, and raise concerns confidently, field empowerment is in action. By developing the skills to recognise risk, fostering a supportive culture and ensuring accountability, organisations can create safer workplaces where every worker is empowered to lead on safety.

The goal: every worker is a safety leader, every day, on every task.
