New Interim Chair appointed for IOSH Board of Trustees

The appointment was agreed during the two-day meeting of Council, IOSH’s member representative body, from 9–10 October 2024.

Bobby has been an Independent Trustee on the IOSH Board since November 2020. He specialises in business strategy and strategic management, and has experience in campaigns, funding, capital investment and business development.

As Interim Chair, he will oversee delivery of IOSH’s five-year strategy Activate 2028, while a thorough recruitment process is conducted to appoint a new, permanent Chair.

This appointment follows the resignation of Professor Peter Bonfield. He was Chair of the Board from February 2021 and was instrumental in developing Activate 2028, which was launched in April 2023.

We’d like to take this opportunity to welcome Bobby as the new Interim Chair of IOSH’s Board of Trustees and to thank Peter for his leadership of the Institution.
