Chair’s Welcome
The Essex Branch was formed in 2008 and is fast approaching 900 members. We represent all grades of IOSH membership and welcome non-members as well as those within the wider business sector who have an interest in occupational health and safety.
Our aim is to shape and support everyone in the health and safety community and deliver IOSH’s strategy enhance the profession.
Following the pandemic we have moved to a hybrid approach of both face-to-face and virtual branch meetings. We invite guest speakers from a broad spectrum of industries and backgrounds to provide relevant and topical presentations and demonstrations. The meetings provide an environment where those who work or have an interest in occupational health and safety can meet, network and develop with like-minded individuals. All our branch meetings and webinars are free to attend and a buffet lunch is provided when they are face-to-face.
We recognise that many people are not full-time safety practitioners and may have been assigned health and safety duties by their employer. We want to assist all those who have an interest in health and safety and non-members are very welcome to attend.
We also have a strong mentoring system in place to provide help and assistance to all our members with their CPD, IPD or general career advice. Please contact essex@ioshnetworks.com if you would like to speak to a mentor.
I encourage you to follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube to receive the latest branch news and updates.
