  • Affiliate Member

    All non-students join at this level. You'll pay £230 (including a one-off administration fee) for your first year. After you join, you can request an immediate review to check if you're eligible to upgrade to Technical or Certified membership at no extra cost. You may also be eligible to apply for a route to a higher grade.

  • Student Member

    You can join as a Student Member if you are studying for:

    • an IOSH qualification
    • an IOSH-accredited qualification
    • a safety, health and environment (SHE) technician apprenticeship.

    You'll pay a one-off fee of £15 for the duration of your studies.

Valid until 31 March 2027.

Help with membership costs

You may be eligible for a reduced membership fee if you’re:

  • retired
  • unemployed
  • earning below £24,784.50 (or equivalent)
  • on maternity leave
  • a full-time carer
  • suffering ill-health
  • on compassionate leave
  • affected by extreme circumstances (for example, war or natural disaster).
