IOSH and the Commonwealth are celebrating the Year of the Youth through a webinar series.

Focusing on young people, mental health and employability, the series is designed to build on the success of our employability webinars.

Attendees will hear from industry experts, who will raise awareness of the importance of looking after your mental health in the early stages of your career.

They will bring to life their personal experiences, to inspire young people across the Commonwealth to adopt and implement positive techniques to improve their mental health.

We hope to reach and engage with a wide audience of young people across Commonwealth countries, including those in the occupational safety and health (OSH) sector and other professions.

The webinars are also open to anyone, irrespective of age, who will find them beneficial.

Dates for your diary

IOSH and the Commonwealth will collaborate on the delivery of three webinars.

  • Cultivating positive mental health and resilience in job searches – 15:00 BST on 10 April 2024.
  • Engaging socially sustainable employers: why is it important – 15:00 BST on 12 June 2024.
  • Developing positive mental health during your first professional role – 15:00 on 04 September 2024.

We encourage our members to share these details with their network and, if they feel able, repost our LinkedIn posts.

The series will increase collaboration, partnership and knowledge exchange between IOSH and the Commonwealth, as well as among Commonwealth youth development partners. These include member states, Commonwealth youth networks and Commonwealth-accredited organisations.
