Secretary of State Letter to UK Construction Industry

Health and Safety Law
Access up to date information, ACoPs and guidance on UK health and safety law from the HSE website.

Working Well Together (WWT)
WWT is the countries leading construction health and safety campaign, supported by the construction industry, trade unions and the Health and Safety Executive. It is aimed primarily at the SME and micro markets delivering events throughout the UK.

Construction Industry Advisory Committee (CONIAC)
CONIAC advises the Health and Safety Executive on the protection of people at work (and others) from hazards to health and safety within the building, civil engineering and engineering construction industry.

UK Contractors Group (UKCG)
The UKCG is the primary association for contractors and their supply chain partners operating in the UK. Together, UKCG members account for a third of construction output in the UK. This provides strength to leverage our knowledge, experience and relationships.

Construction Industry Training Board (CITB)
The CITB work with construction companies, training providers, employers and trade organisations to ensure there are the right skills in the right place at the right time. They are the Sector Skills Council and Industry Training Board for the construction industry. Working with industry, for industry, to deliver a safe, professional and fully qualified UK construction workforce.

Construction Dust Partnership (CDP)
The CDP is an industry collaboration directly involving many organisations, including the HSE. Its aim is to raise awareness within the construction industry about lung diseases related to hazardous workplace dust and to promote good practice to prevent these diseases.

British Occupational Hygiene Society
The aim of the Society is to promote the benefits of occupational hygiene using science and engineering to prevent ill health caused by the work environment. They specialise in the assessment and control of risks to health from workplace exposure to hazards.
