IOSH is deeply concerned about the escalating conflict across the Middle East and the profound impact it is having on people, workplaces and communities throughout the region. We recognise that many are facing disruption, uncertainty and heightened safety concerns, and our thoughts are with everyone affected – including families, emergency responders, essential workers and those exposed to immediate risks.

As a global professional body dedicated to protecting people at work, IOSH’s focus remains firmly on the safety, health and wellbeing of individuals. We are committed to supporting those exposed to heightened risks and disruptions, and to promoting actions that help prevent harm and safeguard lives during this period of instability. We encourage all members living or working in affected areas to remain vigilant, follow official instructions from local authorities and take all reasonable steps to ensure personal and organisational preparedness.

We understand that these events may also affect members’ ability to travel, fulfil professional duties or support colleagues and communities. IOSH is here to help. If you require professional guidance, technical resources or assistance in navigating occupational safety and health challenges arising from the ongoing disruption, please contact us. We also acknowledge that many may have family, friends or colleagues directly affected; our thoughts and solidarity are with all those facing personal or professional hardship.

IOSH will continue to monitor the situation closely, providing updates, guidance and support as needed. Our commitment remains constant: to champion safe and healthy working lives everywhere, and to stand alongside our members and the wider OSH community when they need us most. We sincerely hope for the safety of all those affected and for the swift restoration of stability and essential services across the region.
