Group committees
IOSH groups focus on specific industry sectors. They help bring together members with a shared interest or specialist area, regardless of location. Groups help members network, exchange information and support IOSH’s wider strategy.
Every group is supported by a group committee. The following information will help give an idea of what would be required of you in these roles, but also what you can expect from your Group Committee

Chair
The Group Chair has overall responsibility for co-ordinating the activities of the group, ensuring that IOSH’s aims, objectives and strategy are met. They will lead the committee and chair committee meetings.
Vice-Chair
The Group Vice-Chair assists the Chair in co-ordinating the activities of the group.
Communications Co-ordinator
The main tasks for a Group Communications Co-ordinator include overseeing their network pages on the IOSH website and ensuring they are kept up to date; assisting with the sending of messages via Committee Mailer; using social media to communicate with members; and highlighting IOSH campaigns.
