At the first two of seven Institute of Directors (IoD) 'Open House – On the Road' events, IOSH Vice-Presidents Louise Hosking, Tim Eldridge and Jonathan Hughes have led lively and engaged roundtable discussions with business owners and decision-makers in London (10 May) and Birmingham (13 May).
IOSH is co-sponsoring these events with a global theme, and at all of them IOSH Vice-Presidents are chairing lunchtime roundtable discussions on looking after the safety and health of remote workers and developing a robust supply chain.
Our core message is ‘get the safety and health of your people right when going global and you will reap business benefits, including improved productivity and enhanced reputation’.
Between them, the London and Birmingham events attracted over 150 people giving IOSH an opportunity to discuss WORK 2022 and our global priorities as well as The Healthy Profit and IOSH’s recent white paper with Management Today, informed by our survey of 400 employees and managers, to provide guidance on the role of line managers in promoting positive workplace mental health.
During June, IOSH Head of Product Jonathan Nobbs will give a keynote speech on ‘The safe and healthy route to going global’ at the IoD ‘Open House – On the Road’ event at Cardiff Castle, on 13 June, and on 27 June, IOSH Chief Executive Bev Messinger will deliver this keynote at the UWE Exhibition and Conference Centre in Bristol.
On 13 November, IOSH Strategy and Business Development Director Richard Orton will deliver another keynote in Manchester, and Vice-Presidents will facilitate roundtable discussions in Hull and Cambridge to conclude the series.
