The IOSH Public Services Group has over 2600 members, the group aims to offer a networking and knowledge base for health and safety professionals working in the public sector whether this is in: -

  • Central Government
  • Local Government
  • Blue Light Services
  • or any service or industry which delivers essential services to the public and which are not captured in other IOSH groups.

Our aim is to provide opportunities to network, to look at emerging risk, explore the way work is undertaken in the sector and how we can influence this to ensure a safe and healthy workplace and provide support and guidance in what is the largest employment sector in the UK and Globally.

The Group is looking to recruit three further volunteers who have the drive and enthusiasm to identify challenges, explore and research interventions, develop ideas which will support our members, work with stakeholders, external bodies and experts to create workshops, presentations and guides and to support and be an ambassador for the Group and IOSH at branch and other meetings.

As the Chair, I am keen to gain the support of committed individuals who can bring fresh ideas to continue to drive this group forward.
