2019 was a fruitful year and our third as an IOSH sector group. We hope that our members and non-members who attended our events and webinars found them useful in developing their networks, competencies and knowledge.
We hosted two webinars. Our social media webinar attracted 133 live attendees or attendees who watched the recording, and our HSE blue-tape webinar was watched by 546 attendees.
We also held two face-to-face events.
Our event on ergonomics and wellbeing was attended by 50 people and we were thrilled that 100% of our delegates feedback that the event was either good or excellent.
We co-hosted a conference on fire risk management with the IOSH East Anglia branch, the Fire Risk Management Group, and the Food and Drink Industries Group. It was attended by 73 delegates who again found the event either good or excellent.
You can find materials from all of these on recent events page of this microsite.
Alongside our four events, we refreshed our three-year plan. The plan focusses on the following themes:
- Supporting networking within our Group;
- Stimulating debate and dialogue;
- Providing you with industry specific CPD opportunities; and
- Raising our external profile.
We also agreed the priority areas that we would focus on:
- MSD’s and ergonomics;
- Mental health;
- Wellbeing and resilience;
- Fire safety;
- Asbestos; and
In 2020 we are planning to issue a short survey to gather your thoughts and input into what you want us to do next. We hope that we continue to provide you with insightful materials and events and that these will be shaped by your feedback.
