The Edinburgh Branch are excited to be hosting our next virtual presentation: “Asbestos Management for Non-Specialists: The Duty to Manage”
The duty to manage asbestos is directed at those who manage non-domestic premises: the people with responsibility for protecting others who work in such premises, or use them in other ways, from the risks to ill health that exposure to asbestos causes. This talk will give the non-specialist an overview of managing asbestos on their premises.
This event is open to anyone who wishes to attend and will be particularly relevant to all safety practitioners, safety reps, supervisors, managers and directors.
Please remember that you will need to register in advance to join this virtual meeting. Registration Link

Roger Midson Challenge Trophy
Roger Midson was a past chairman of our branch who died in 1992. In order to keep alive his memory and the work he carried out for the branch, a competition was organised to be played among members annually.
This has been in decline for a few years but we intend to revive it again this year- details coming soon.
IOSH has taken the difficult decision to halt all physical meetings and events until further notice due to the current Coronavirus pandemic.
Instead we have a list of virtual meetings and webinars taking place, and members can attend any of these.
Details can be found on our IOSH webinars/virtual meetings events page.
