With more than 4,000 members, the IOSH Public Services Group aims to provide a wide range of support for all who are employed in one of the largest and essential sectors, covering those in central and local government and those who act to serve and protect society.
The recruitment is open to all members and each applicant will be considered on an individual basis.
To complement the existing committee, the Group are looking for a more diverse range of members who are working in the following sectors:
- Central and local government – both in the UK and overseas
- Housing Associations and Social Housing
- Security – including Prisons
- Border Control
- Civilian Uniformed Services, including blue light emergency responders
- Police and commissioning
- Charities – including museums, libraries, etc
We would also particularly welcome applications from members who are currently working outside of the UK, and from members who are in the early stages of their OSH career.

Successful applicants will be called for interview on, and will be done virtually.
If you are successfully appointed to the committee you will be asked to sign the IOSH volunteer agreement, which will be sent to you prior to the interview and will need to be read and considered.
