The IOSH Food and Drink Industries Group and the Chilled Foods Association are collaborating on a project that is focusing on sharing practical solutions to musculoskeletal problems that have been identified within the food and drink manufacturing and distribution industries.
The aim of the project is to produce easily accessible, high quality pictorial case studies and easily understood guidance on what is reasonably practicable to reduce musculoskeletal disorders.
The guidance will include recent developments and innovations implemented within the food industry that can be used within other sectors and all sizes of organisations to help solve common musculoskeletal problems.
The project includes a showcase event in which will be held in the East Midlands on 10 March 2020. At the event the case studies and best practice will be shared to show the audience ways in which the food and drink industry has solved common MSD problems.
To help make the initiative a success the Chilled Foods Association and IOSH Food & Drink Industries Group are asking businesses to share their good ideas and pragmatic solutions in the form of case studies. A template for the case study has been produced and can be downloaded from the CFA website.
