Soft Skills

Our new Soft Skills sessions run before the Branch Meeting, 17:15-17:45. They are run by Melaney Doyle, Chartered HR Director/Behaviour Expert and are free to attend, as part of Branch Meetings.

Soft Skills Session programme

During 2017 we held a series of Soft Skills Presentations, which proved popular to our members.

This year we plan to hold Soft Skills presentations every quarter on hot topics and would like to hear your thoughts on what you would like to be covered.

Suggestions so far include Developing Coaching Skills, Communication Skills, The Psychology of Behaviour; Changing Minds to Change Behaviour, and Overcome Negative Thinking to Increase Resilience and Wellbeing. If there are any topics that you would like covered please email the secretary or Melaney on melaney@mpowerpd.co.uk.

As part of our Soft Skills Programme, we are delighted to launch a MASTERMIND GROUP in March 2018. The mastermind group will run 5-6 pm ahead of the main branch meeting monthly when there is no soft skills presentation.

We would like to connect with employers in our region and individuals with responsibility for Health and Safety in their organisations who would like to be part of this initiative. We will focus on hot topics in health and safety including behavioural and positive psychology, coaching and mental health and Melaney will coach members to develop leadership skills, influence and impact in their workplace. There will be a short presentation about the aims of the group in our February Branch Meeting at 5.45 pm.
