January 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic will continue, disrupting every part of our day-to-day lives. Whilst we currently have no way of knowing when we will have the opportunity to start physical face-to-face meetings again we can assure members that the branch will continue to support members in a virtual form from the monthly meetings held on the 3rd Thursday of every month through to assistance with professional development.

The branch are proud to have John Cliff CMIOSH – IOSH Mentor associated with the branch who has assisted many members through the IOSH mentoring platform, one of which has recently been published by IOSH along with designated committee members to assist with your CPD needs.

There are many great presentations both on the IOSH Staffordshire Branch YouTube Channel and recent events section of the IOSH website (Staffordshire Branch) for members to access and note for CPD. If required please get in touch with the branch committee E who are working to confirm future speakers / presentations for our calendar of events for 2021 onwards.

IOSH Staffordshire Branch would like to wish all IOSH Members a prosperous 2021 that will continue to be a challenge but one where IOSH professionals can have a positive impact on the work environment wherever that may be.

You can also catch up on the latest announcements through the branch committee mailer (for those associated with the branch) and social media outlets such as LinkedIn and Twitter

2020

A year that has seen many challenges for members across the globe as well as those associated with IOSH Staffordshire Branch.

Members will be aware that whilst there has been a requirement to stop any face-to-face meetings since March the branch continue to hold the monthly meetings in a virtual form, many of which have been attended by members across the institution and we are grateful for the continued support.

April 2019

Construction Industry Publications (CIP) are delighted to have been given the opportunity to be the 2019/20 Sponsor of the Staffordshire IOSH Branch.  As the main sponsor, CIP will be in attendance at all the branch events, giving away complimentary health and safety material; the opportunity to trial relevant publications; discount vouchers; and offering members the chance to win subscriptions and CDROMs worth over £250 in the monthly raffle.

Sarah Kenny, CIP Sales and Marketing Manager, said “CIP are proud to be associated with the IOSH branch and I am looking forward to meeting, listening and talking health and safety with the branch members, attending the great range of talks over the year, and presenting on CDM and BIM in August. Mark, Michelle and the team have built a branch with a real buzz about it, and whose members want to talk health and safety, develop professionally and share great ideas. The sponsorship will help raise the profile of the CIP brand and promote our range of titles”
