Marwell Zoo is owned by Marwell Wildlife, a world renowned, action oriented charity leading conservation programmes in the UK and Africa.
Located near Winchester, Marwell is a 140-acre wildlife park, home to hundreds of animals from endangered Amur tigers, snow leopards and white rhinos to giraffes, hippos and penguins.
Louise Keys, Health and Safety Manager, greeted the guests and gave a safety brief, then explained some of the hazards at Marwell Zoo including animals and visitors.
The Park Manager then gave a talk about the biomass system and how they hope to be carbon neutral by 2020.
Guests then had a tour around the new Tropical House and were released to roam the ground for the rest of the day.
